HEROES Returns To Network TV September 15th

HEROES returns to network television on September 15th with a THREE HOUR PREMIERE!! NO JOKE!! The first hour will be a catch up type episode while the following two hours will be like “a massive two hour Heroes Film”. The planned Heroes: Origins TV Spinoff series has been cancelled for now.

“We were taxing our creative team to do too much around that,” Silverman said at the NBC upfront presentation to advertisers in New York yesterday. “We wanted 35 Heroes [episodes] and 12 Heroes: Origins, each of which was supposed to be a mini-movie and backdoor pilot. We reached far and challenged our people, and we decided it was better to focus on keeping the Heroes mothership as strong as possible.”

What does everyone think of this song? Is it a good direction for the band? Or is it even their new direction? Are they just posting this song first to throw us off as to what the rest of the record will sound like?

Box Office Report: April 7th

Well the weekend is now over with and it was a pretty lackluster one at that for the movies. We had three new movies open and none managed to crack  above $14million. Last weekends big opener, “21″ once again took the top spot with a take of $15.1million ($46.5million total). The George Clooney starrer “Leatherheads” failed to take in big numbers at the box office and brought in just  $13.4million. The other new entry, the Jodie Foster starring film, Nim’s Island, took in just $13.3million, virtually tying with Leatherheads. The box office smash “Horton Hears a Who” continues it’s box office dominance taking in another $9million ($131million total). The final new film to open on Friday “The Ruins” didn’t manage to scare up any box office gross and took in just $7.8million total, to round out the top 5 films. To see the rest of the top 10 at the box office this past weekend, just click here.

Films opening this coming Friday, April 11th include the teen horror flick PROM NIGHT, Smart People starring Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker, and Street Kings starring Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, Common, The Game
